Acknowledgement and Release of Salon Stilo

acknowledge that the color correction services I have requested could have unintended results, including among possible side effects: greater risk of damage to my hair, an allergic reaction to hair products, irritation, burning, redness or soreness of the scalp and any other exposed skin. I further acknowledge that I am aware that certain medications, over the counter hair dye and various medical conditions can significantly increase the possibility of unfavorable results.

I acknowledge that I now understand the risks that may occur from the color correction services I have requested and that I have been provided with an opportunity to ask  my stylist questions about the possible adverse results and risks and conduct further research and that I have decided to proceed with the requested color correction services. I understand the risk and I agree that I will NOT hold my stylist, the salon or any other person responsible if the results are not intended or if I suffer from an allergic reaction, skin irritation or any other condition.

I also acknowledge that color, color correction and color products can damage clothing and I agree that I will NOT hold my stylist, the salon or any other person responsible if the clothing I wear to my appointment is damaged.

I hereby release and forever discharge Salon Stilo, its owners, employees and contractors, including my stylist (hereinafter “the Releasees”) of and from all manner of actions, suits, claims, demands or damages of any nature or kind, which I may otherwise have because of unintended or unfavorable results or skin irritation or other medical conditions that may occur from provision of the color correction services by any of the Releasees.

I confirm that I had an opportunity to consider this document and to obtain independent legal advice if I so desire with respect to the details of this Acknowledgement and Release and I confirm that I am accepting this Acknowledgement and Release freely, voluntary and without duress and that I understand that it limits legal actions I would otherwise take against the Releasees.

Payment: 

We gladly accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Salon Stilo Gift Cards.

 

Gratuities:

Tipping is left to the discretion of our clients. All gratuities are accepted in cash or check directly to your stylist. We regret that we are not able to add gratuity with your credit card transaction. Gift certificates do not include gratuities.

 

Guarantee Services:

Our stylists pride themselves on providing you with exceptional service and quality customer care. All of our stylists are professional, educated and experienced and will provide you with the best hair care service possible.

Menu prices listed in the Service Menu at the front desk are base prices. The price of your service may vary from the listed price based on the service(s) you receive, as well as the length of your hair. Your stylist will inform you of the price before she/he begins your service. Payment for salon services is expected to be paid at the time of service.

Consultations for all hair services are offered free of charge and are highly recommended for first time clients.  First time clients coming in for chemical services are required to have a consultation. During the consultation, should there be any previous over-processing due to prior chemical services, heat damage, or any other issues with your hair that may affect the outcome of your hair service; you will be made aware before your service is started.

We always want you to be 100% satisfied with your services.  We do not issue refunds on salon services. However, should you have any questions or concerns about the service you have received in the salon, please notify a salon coordinator within three days of your service. If you are not satisfied with the work performed, we require that you return to the salon so that your hair can be visually inspected. At that time, we will make every effort to correct any problems to your satisfaction by rescheduling you with the stylist who performed the initial service. Any issues reported longer than 5 days from the original appointment date will not immediately be considered a redo but will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Retail Policy:

Just as we want you to be satisfied with your hair we want you to be happy with the products you are using.  We will gladly accept returns for store credit on any products within 14 days from purchase as long as at least 2/3 of the product is remaining.  A receipt is required as proof of purchase.

 

We regret that we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal items.

Please keep all valuable items with you during your service.  Please advise our staff of any allergies or sensitivities you may have.  

 

Strict Cancellation Policy

Your appointments are very important to us.  It is reserved especially for you and we understand that sometimes schedules will need to be adjusted; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.  

 

However, for appointments over 3 hours (full highlight, balayage, ombre, extensions, Brazilian blowout, or Keratin treatments), we will require to collect a $50 deposit which will be used towards your service.  Please call 72hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  For rescheduled appointments, your $50 deposit can be used towards your future service.   If you cancel less then 72hours, you will lose your deposit. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time for other clients who need it as well as keeping our stylist scheduled filled.   

 

As a courtesy, we do call, text and/or email to confirm the date and time at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.  If we are unable to reach you and only leave a message, or cannot reach you at all, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to avoid missed appointments and cancellation fees.  You are always welcome to call and double check any appointments if you’re unsure.

 

Confirmations

As a courtesy we confirm your appointments by text, email, or call at least 48 hours in advance to help remind you of your appointment but it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates. 

 

Parking

Please try and arrive early for metered parking (meters are coin and card operated $1 per hour). If your appointment requires you to be here longer than 2-3 hours please look for a meter that gives you enough time. There are 2hr, 4hr and 10hr metered parking available in the nearby area. Be sure to have plenty change with you or a credit card to deposit on the machine. TIP: There are all day parking lots for $3 on Lorton Ave next to Marlinda’s (Cross Street Howard Ave) the parking lot accepts dollars and credit/debit cards for your convenience.  Free parking is also available in residential areas.
